MEET OF THE PRIMARY CARE PARTNERS OF SOUTH BEND Finally, we’ll meet . . . Brandon W. Zabukovic, MD, MPA, FAAFP, FASAM Dr. Brandon Zabukovic became a doctor to pursue his belief that everyone should have a voice in their own medical care regardless of their situation or background. He graduated from New York Medical College in 2002. During his residency training at Memorial Hospital, he also completed a Master of Public Affairs in Health System Management from Indiana University of South Bend. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame where he remains an adjunct professor in the Hillebrand Center for Compassionate Care in Medicine.

Rebekah Kottkamp was drawn to the field of nursing out of a desire to help others and to make patients more comfortable when seeing their healthcare provider. She firmly believes in establishing a compassionate relationship with every patient. Ideally, patients can trust that she has their best interest in mind, and that she will give them the best care available. She likewise trusts her patients to follow through with their mutually agreed-upon care plan. Driven by establishing this patient-provider trust, she received a master of science in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Ball State University. Prior to Ball State, she received her undergraduate degree from Xavier University.

Mary Hope Griffin, MD, FAAP Dr. Mary Hope Griffin was drawn to the medical field out of her desire to help those around her live life to the fullest. The idea of personal dignity animates her approach to life, and she is excited to open a practice based on this principle. She gravitated toward medicine because she knew she could make a difference and has been changing patients’ lives for 25 years. Dr. Griffin received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.
MEET & GREET Meet our friendly Front Desk Staff! Daisy Campos has worked with many of us at another office, and we are thrilled to be working with her again. She is always cheerful, capable, and ready to help answer questions and assist with your needs. Kaela Velazquez is new to working in medical offices, and she is eager to learn more every day about working in health care. She is enjoying meeting patients, and is delighted to help you. Jennifer Buscoe is a veteran of working in medical offices, and she even worked with Dr. Z at one of his previous locations. She is a pro at juggling phones and schedules to help us all keep flowing without missing a beat.

Meet more of our PCPSB team! Ashley has been working with our providers for the past 4 years. She is available for counselling for anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other concerns. She has a special interest in addiction recovery support and counselling. She and her husband have 1 daughter, and they enjoy all things Disney. Shelly is new to our team. If her name seems familiar, it is because she is married to Dr. Z. Shelly helps with managing chronic conditions for patients and helps coordinate with insurance for procedures. She and her husband have 2 sons, and she spends any free time she might have supporting her sons in their sports endeavors. Anne is our Practice Administrator. She brings a wealth of experience with her and is instrumental in helping our office function. She is our behind-the-scenes wizard who addresses everything from billing to IT concerns.

Builds and maintains relationships with specified payors. Operates basic x-ray equipment determining the quality and quantity of ionizing radiation to make quality radiographies. Administers medical x-rays on injured and/or sick patients, as directed by a physician or Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner), following accepted procedures and policies. Will also perform Medical Assistant duties as needed which include but is not limited to: Interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit. Prepares patients for examination, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, etc. Performs in office lab tests, refers patients per provider instructions, and other duties as assigned. She assists Dr. Griffin with her Early Evaluation Clinic. Amanda is extremely knowledgeable and organized, and helps keep us all on track through the day. Lydia Pedraza has been working with Dr. Z for many years at his previous offices. She is an expert at assisting Dr. Zabukovic as well as the rest of us. She is energetic, talented, and always kind and friendly.
