Until further notice, our back entrance off of Hatchery Rd will be closed. We are currently making enhancements to our parking lot to better serve our Equine patients. To access our parking lot, please use our front entrance off of Rt 13. Thank you!!

Brenford Animal Hospital would like to announce that Dr. Rebecca Mears will be joining our staff on January 25, 2021. She will be focusing her skills in our equine department, seeing patients through our ambulatory service and caring for hospitalized patients. WE are so happy that she will be continuing her career here at Brenford and look forward to her arrival. Here is a short bio to help you get to know her:
Dr. Rebecca Mears grew up in Delaware before moving to Lexington, KY, where she completed her BS at University of Kentucky. She is a graduate of University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Her clinical interests include client education and preventative care. A lifelong horse lover, Dr. Mears has participated in many aspects of the horse industry, from competing in horse judging competitions at the high school and collegiate levels to galloping Thoroughbred racehorses. She comes to Brenford Animal Hospital from practice in Central Kentucky.
She has served in numerous leadership positions including the Veterinary Business Management Association and VIN Foundation. As a supporter of wellbeing within the profession, Dr. Mears had taken an active role in improving the veterinary community. In her time away from veterinary medicine, she can be found hiking, baking, and hosting impromptu dance parties.
Every December at Brenford we draw an employees name everyday and that employee gets the present of the day. It gets everyone excited to see who’s name will be chosen each day. Here are a few of our employees with their gifts.
