Brevard Aikikai School of Martial Arts was founded in 1987 by Grady Lane, Rokudan (6th degree black belt) Shidoin and chief instructor. Sensei Lane teaches traditional Aikido and offers classes for adults and children. Aikido is a Japanese martial art with a strong emphasis on self-defense that is based on the principle of active non-resistance, which uses the strength of an aggressor against himself. Unlike other martial arts, Aikido does not rely on strength, so Aikido can be practiced by men, women, and children of all ages, regardless of size. Aikido is more than a martial art -- it also contributes to personal and spiritual development. It is also a great way to reduce stress and lose weight. Check out our website for more information!
