Our Infants love to engage in story time with Ms. Mio :) Reading is a great way to enhance language skills, build vocabulary and introduces new concepts in a fun way! Not only do our Infant teachers incorporate reading books in English, but they also read books in Spanish as well as books about sign language. HAPPY FRIDAY BH63! This morning our K-Preppers were busy learning some new karate moves with our very own Mr.Carlos (who is a black belt himself). As an in-class enrichment, K-Prep participates in Karate every Friday. Today, they learned two new poses "kata form" and "kihon." Not only does Mr.Carlos show them these cool moves, he also incorporates language into his lessons by saying the true Japanese name for each form and having the children count in Japanese as well! #brighthorizons #brighthorizonsnyc
