I would and will Recommend Bright Star Dental. Dr. Brian Gilbert and his team of professionals have been a blessing to me. I am about halfway through my major procedure. I was devastated, about a year ago, to learn that due to bone loss I was facing a loss of ALL my teeth. I immediately made numerous appointments with several local dentists for their opinions and Bright Star was one of them. I chose Bright Star for their professionalism, and their expertise in the field of implant replacement. Dr. Gilbert teamed with Dr. Heiner for this major undertaking. We hope you and your family had an enjoyable holiday season, and that your new year is starting out
well. We are back at the office, ready to take care of all of our patients in 2021
As you know, we have taken many steps to make our office the safest one in town during the Covid
19 situation...As I write this letter, I have already been fully vaccinated (1st and 2nd inoculations),
and we are in the process of having our team members vaccinated, as well :)
--Our goal is to create a safe environment for you at each and every visit!
Also: Although we have always utilized masks and gloves while providing care for all of our patients,
we are now providing all of our team members with extra personal protective equipment (PPE) to
protect our employees and our patients as well. This extra PPE includes face shields, surgical
gowns, head coverings, protective eye wear, and N95 masks, which are recommended by the
Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
--We have an employee dedicated to constantly wiping down surfaces around the office (sterilizing
door handles, bathroom surfaces, waiting area surfaces, and cleaning clerical surfaces) in order to
protect our team members and our patients.
--We are utilizing more barriers in our treatment rooms. Barriers include plastic covers and wraps
over our equipment to prevent them from being exposed during dental procedures.
--We have modified our ventilation systems and we have installed HEPA filters. While our office
was closed due to the Covid 19 shutdown, we reconfigured our ventilation system to be “zoned.” In
other words, the air in our treatment area will not mix with the air in our reception area or our business
office. HEPA filters remove viral particles from the air allowing for clean air to be re-circulated
throughout our building at all times. These filters must be maintained and replaced on a regular basis.
--We have installed High Volume Evacuation (HVE) Systems to remove aerosolized particles from
the air in each of our treatment rooms. HVE systems have 3 HEPA filters, as well as UV lights,
which sterilize the air, allowing it to re-enter the room in a safe form.
--We have changed the “traffic flow” in the office. We take patients down a different hall when
they arrive for their cleaning appointments—they no longer walk through our other clinical area. We
are presenting treatment in our “west wing” (where there is open air flow) instead of in our small
consultation rooms. We have spaced our patients further apart when they are being treated.
More distance means a safer environment for you while you are in our office.
Again, our goal is to create a safe environment for you at each and every visit!

Recently, several of our patients have come to the office expressing concerns about lines and wrinkles on their face that they’ve observed when participating in Zoom business calls.
And, as we mentioned in a previous post, we offer Botox and dermal fillers to help improve those little areas of concern on your face that don’t allow you to look your best during your important meetings online.
We have also had many patients contact us recently with a similar concern regarding their smiles during Zoom business meetings. Greetings from the Bright Star Team! We hope your autumn is going well… It certainly has been an unusual year, hasn’t it?
We're sure that many of you are working at home full or part time during this Covid situation… Many of you have been involved in "Zoom" video calls and meetings on a regular basis.
Several of our patients who are participating in video calls have noticed, when seeing themselves on screen, that they have wrinkles and lines on their faces that they never noticed before. And they’ve come to our office asking about the Botox and dermal filler services that we provide. In fact, we’ve been doing more facial enhancement procedures in the last six months than we’ve done in the last several years—for both male and female patients.
With Botox, we can eliminate the lines on your forehead and the “11‘s" or "111‘s” between your eyes, as well as making crows feet disappear.
Unlike Botox, dermal fillers allow us to add fullness to areas of your face where you’ve lost supportive collagen over the years. For example, we can improve your cheek bone areas, as well as add fullness to your lips. Dermal fillers can also eliminate lines around your mouth and lower areas of your face.

Another issue that patients have reported to us is that many people have been clenching and grinding their teeth related to stress.
Let’s be honest: this year has been one of the most stressful times in our nation’s history…a pandemic, along with stay-at-home measures, school closures, and even furloughs from jobs has led to a lot of anxiety and stress among the general population. Many of us express that stress through clenching, which can be damaging to our teeth, cause sore jaws and even lead to headaches.
Botox can be used to "turn down the volume" of the muscles involved in clenching so that an individual simply cannot clench. He/she can chew normally and will notice no difference in their daily activities, but they cannot do destructive clenching and grinding which can lead to serious problems.
