Melissa joined the team in July of this year as our Director of First Impressions! She has over 14 years of bookkeeping, accounting, and administrative experience and is the beautiful smiling face you see below. She has lived in Tallahassee since she was 5 years old, and graduated Florida State University with a B.S. in psychology. She has been married for over 11 years to her high school sweetheart, Kevin. They have two incredible boys, Camden and Rowan, and a new puppy named Evie! Melissa enjoys spending time with her family as well as going to the beach, great music, and movies. Some of her passions include art history, reading, and all things HGTV. Helping people is her ultimate goal, and hopes to brighten everyone’s day in the process! We are blessed to have this special lady as part of our office family!

Grace is a Florida native who grew up in North Florida she’s been married to her husband Michael for 20 years and they have 2 amazing children, McKenzie 18 and Tyler 14. Grace began her insurance career with State Farm in early 2012 as a Customer Service Representative. She quickly realized how much she enjoyed insurance and wasted no time advancing her insurance career by obtaining her 2-20 General Lines license and then also obtaining her 2-14 Life and Variable Annuity license. Before joining the Brigit Smallridge team here in Tallahassee Grace was Managing a State Farm agency in Dunedin FL. Grace truly loves her job and feels blessed that she can help her clients analyze and manage their risks “Do something today that your future self will Thank You for”
In Grace’s spare time she loves to bake and cook big Sunday dinners for her family, she loves spending time at the beach, going on family adventures or binge-watching Netflix documentaries . Can I take this week to tell all my customers and team how truly honored and humbled I am to be able to serve them every single day? Matt was born and raised right here in Tallahassee, and is a true Noles fan! He has been married for five years to his beautiful wife, Jillian. They have a 3-year-old fur child named Porter, an Airedale Terrier. Matt is an avid golfer and loves hanging out with friends. When he isn’t cheering on his Noles, he is rooting for his all favorite team, Green Bay Packers!
Matt has been working at Brigit’s office for four years, and plans to open his own agency someday. We are lucky to have Matt - he is extremely knowledgeable and passionate in helping our customers with their insurance needs and reaching their financial goals!
Sara is a Florida native originally from Daytona Beach. She moved to the Tallahassee area about 7 years ago with her longtime boyfriend Robert.
Sara has worked for Brigit's office for the last three years as our office manager. She has over 10 years of management experience and really enjoys helping our customers with their insurance and financial service needs.
When she's not working she enjoys spending time outdoors gardening, exploring the areas parks and other hidden gems, cooking, trying new foods and all things creative. We are so lucky to have Sara a part of our team!!!

Kimberly was born and raised in Fort Myers, FL, and her parents are originally from the Caribbean, making her a first generation born citizen! She moved to Tallahassee in 2012 to get her Bachelors Degree at FSU. (Go Noles!!). While attending FSU she met her husband Zach. They have been married for 5 years and have a son named Joseph.
Kim enjoys spending time with her friends and family, whether it be making dinner for them or seeing their favorite artists together. She also loves to take her son to the park and is a huge movie buff!
Kim started off in our service department in 2019, and recently transitioned to our sales team. Having important conversations with our customers and helping them with their insurance needs is what she does best. She has a huge heart and really cares about our customers. We are glad to have Kim a part of our team!

Ryan is this week’s spotlight! Our customers love Ryan for his warm and caring disposition, and he is always eager to help in any situation.
Ryan was born in Tallahassee and raised right down the road in Lake City, FL! His father, John Kasak, has been a State Farm agent for 25 years, which inspired his interest in insurance very early on! He was accepted into the Risk Management and Insurance program at Florida State University and is now finishing up his last semester before graduation. He has been at Brigit’s office for three years now, and hopes to someday have his own State Farm agency.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys playing golf, kayaking, playing the guitar, and hanging out with friends. He also enjoys singing and has been blessed with a wonderful singing voice!
Ryan is very thankful for both his father and Brigit for showing him that being a State Farm agent is about protecting people’s futures and being there for them in any situation. We are so thankful to have Ryan part of our team!
