Devin Henry, from Gallipolis Ohio brings a new sound to country music and a boom to Columbus, OH. Growing up on 80’s rock, 2000s country, and hip/hop, Devin’s influences flow through his smalltown rural vibe. Devin not only has had the opportunity to play his music all over Ohio and West Virginia, his Appalachian neighborhood, but has also been able to perform in writer’s rounds in Nashville at world famous Bluebird Cafe and Belcourt Taps, along with many more. He has recently started a podcast named, “Hell Yeah Paw Paw,” which is available now on all media platforms.
Currently attending his last year in nursing school at Otterbein University, this country artist aspires to be to be a pediatric critical care nurse and plans to pursue that career in Nashville while chasing his music dream.
Devin says, “5 years ago it started with just a bonfire, friends, and a 6-string. It’s just overwhelming the fans and support who have elevated me through this journey. Performing and having a party on stage is fun, but being able inspire or touch others with the words that come from my heart is really what I do it for. I’m just the same kid chasing that same crazy dream making music, meeting people, and writing stories.
Bristol, hands down my favorite venue to play in. My band definitely feels like the home team when that country music atmosphere is booming downtown Columbus. Battle of Bands is well worth your time especially after all these artists have been coupes up since March. Come support these local musicians because you never know, one might show up on your radio.”
