Interested in helping pets in your community? Adopting a homeless pet (or two) is an excellent way to save an animal that needs a loving, permanent home. When you adopt a dog or cat from a shelter, you free up space for another animal to have a chance at a new life. However, not everyone can make a long-term commitment like adopting a pet. Shelters and rescue groups are always in need of fosters to provide temporary homes for pets until they can be adopted.

All puppies have their own personality. Some are bold, some are shy, some are loving, and some are protective. Then there are those that are stubborn, especially when it comes to potty training. No matter how much you love your new little companion, repeated potty accidents in the house sometimes has a way of decreasing your fondness.

Vietnam is one of the world’s largest consumers of rhino horn for use in traditional medicine. The demand there has helped push this distinctive animal to the brink of extinction. The animals are killed for their horns and a small number remain alive and suffer in agony after the horns are hacked off their faces. It is immense cruelty for no reason: rhino horn is made of keratin, the substance found in hair and fingernails, and has no curative properties.

A career as a massage therapist is an effective and meaningful way to help people who are dealing with chronic pain, stress, or recovering from an injury. However, in addition to helping people, many massage therapists choose this profession because of the flexibility the field offers. Massage therapists enjoy the independence that a practice provides. Most practitioners learn a wide array of massage techniques like Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, Shiatsu and Thai massage.
