π Hurricane Laura Update | August 25 π
We are continuously monitoring the conditions and continue to make decisions regarding evacuations based on caution and safety in regard to our residents.
We are actively monitoring the area that our Brookdale community is in. Evacuation plans will always be shared here and on our Brookdale Newsroom. While there may be an evacuation order within the county of your loved oneβs community that does not necessarily mean the location of your loved oneβs community is within that specific zone.
The safest option is for residents to be sheltering in place in locations out of the higher risk zones unless otherwise directed by authorities.
We are taking appropriate actions to keep them safe throughout the storm and will update our Newsroom and community Facebook page with any necessary updates regarding the status of the storm and/or our community. For the most accurate information, please visit our Brookdale Newsroom here:

Our residents have a choice of Memphis Rub Chicken or Southern Fried Catfish
One of our family members treated our staff to Chick-fil-a. We are so very thankful for our wonderful families. We all enjoyed this meal. Such a treat.
Ms. Nita is hard at work with her favorite pastime, puzzles.
This tree may look familiar. Our residents love it so much, they asked to keep it up and decorate it for Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras will be celebrated here at Brookdale, just in a different way this year. We will pass a good time and fun will be had by all. We are hoping for some of that Louisiana Gumbo and King Cake on Fat Tuesday.
One of our dining room servers, Mercedes, has gotten her COVID-19 vaccine. She did it to protect everyone around her!
