Our residents created Thanksgiving wreaths, and they are being hung on their doors! This was a fun activity for them to make and throughout the month of November, the resident programs department will have wreath kits available for residents to make their own wreath. We are thankful for our residents!
Today we honored our resident veterans! Thank you for your service to our country.
We had a very special program “Our Veterans...Our Heroes” that included a Dedication of our newly remodeled Wall of Honor and a ceremony that included remarks from our veterans and certificates from Brookdale Hospice and Assemblyman Ed Chau. Staff also honored them with special hand-made wreaths to mark this occasion.
When Bill and Louise began considering senior living options for Bill's sister, Pam, the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine became a major point of interest for their next steps. Now, after receiving the vaccine and transitioning to her new community, Pam is an official resident of Brookdale Cary.
Resident programs is proudly preparing for Chinese New Year and Brookdale is looking forward to celebrating the Lunar New Year with the residents! This year, the Brookdale Alhambra team will be performing a Chinese Lion Dance for the residents door to door!
