There is no trouble so great or grave that cannot be diminished by a cup of tea and good company!
While this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s events will be different, they continue to be deeply meaningful. They continue to help raise awareness about the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. They continue to help raise funds that make a difference in the lives of those facing Alzheimer’s. Brookdale Senior Living Inc. continues to be one of the largest corporate supporters of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This year, thousands of Brookdale associates, residents, and patients are participating in or supporting virtual walks across the country.

We are getting crafty this week! Our residents felt the community could use a bit of floral cheer after a cloudy afternoon and made these gorgeous flower pomanders! They love having the opportunity to create & express themselves through our weekly craft projects.
Calling all Fashionistas! Our Clare Bridge residents took these simple silhouettes and created the most beautiful gowns. There is no shortage of creativity here!

Fun Fact: Space is completely silent.
But our residents were definitely not silent about this tasty outer space inspired ice cream sundae by our very own Abraham! Once a month the dining department puts on an interactive cooking demonstration, and the demonstration this month fell on National Galileo Discovery Day! Abraham used the following to represent a solar system:
- Milkway Ice Cream to depict the Milkway Galaxy!
- A pretzel rod covered in coconut with a cherry to depict a comet traveling through space!
- Peanut M&Ms to depict planets!
- Oreo cookies to depict the sun.
- Peach ring to depict the beautiful rings of Saturn.
Thank you, Abraham, for your time and dedication to our community!
Welcome 2021! Let's make it a great year. We are feeling hopeful about what is to come.
We are going into the New Year with lofty goals, and one of those goals is to keep up with our physical fitness by attending our daily exercise class! Our community offers B-FIT every afternoon at 2pm, and each workout focus on either strength, balance, flexibility, and cardiovascular activity.
What are your New Year's Resolutions?
A warm cup of tea on a winter's day is like a hug in a cup! It seems vanilla chai is highly favored amongst this crew.
Do you prefer tea or coffee on a chilly day?
There was no shortage of magic on Christmas morning in our community. The morning was spent receiving stockings filled to the brim, ripping open presents, singing carols, and enjoying a traditional citrus fruit. We cannot thank our community friends, staff, partners, and families for making this an unforgettable holiday season. Your kind words, gifts, and prayers touched the hearts of many.
