Our final event wrapping up “Caring is EssentiAL” week was a charitable “Take it or Leave It” Day. The local Goodwill was very appreciative of our residents' donation at days end.

Our primary goal is to help ensure the ongoing safety of our residents. At this time, there are no calls for evacuations. The plan for our communities in the path of the storm to shelter in place.
We are monitoring the storm and have a detailed emergency preparedness plan in place to try and address all aspects of an emergency situation. Our coastal communities are equipped with water, food, onsite or ready-to-deploy generators, and supplies, including an adequate supply of face coverings, hand sanitizer and disinfectants to care for residents.
We are taking appropriate actions to keep them safe throughout the storm and following the guidance and direction of authorities when it comes to potential evacuations.

When Bill and Louise began considering senior living options for Bill's sister, Pam, the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine became a major point of interest for their next steps. Now, after receiving the vaccine and transitioning to her new community, Pam is an official resident of Brookdale Cary.
Our Director of Maintenance Ted Cooper hams it up for the residents and promotes the acceptance and reception of the vaccine.
Here are more photos of residents and associates who received their first Pfizer Covid-19 inoculation. We tried to make it a festive, party atmosphere to minimize any anxieties. All in all a roaring success!
We would like to give special thanks to the Healthcare Professionals “C.D.R”, who made the special effort, despite the late hour, to inoculate our residents, and staff members. It was a rough day, but it was a huge success. We are grateful beyond words!
