Here at Brookdale Cedar Springs, we encourage all residents to participate in our daily B-Fit for Life exercise program!
We celebrated Mother's Day at Brookdale Cedar Springs by having a parade for our residents and giving out roses and muffins to all our women. Thank you to all friends and families for your participation.
One of our residents, Mrs. Karen Amey, created a sign to thank the heroes who serve our Cedar Springs community and the first responders in our area.

We at Brookdale Cedar Springs are honored to have each of our veterans! We want to share the story of Retired Col. Ramon. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1949 and joined Company L 3rd Battalion 21st Infantry Regiment 24th Infantry Division as a rifleman in the Pusan Perimeter in August 1950. Then - Pfc. Padilla was an outstanding battlefield leader and fighter and was quickly promoted up through the ranks to master sergeant. He was seriously wounded in July but returned to duty and completed his tour. He was later promoted to sergeant major and was the youngest sergeant major in the Army at the time. He later attended the Officer Candidate School, fought in the Vietnam War, and returned from active duty as a lieutenant colonel, and was promoted to colonel in the Army Reserves.

We at Brookdale Cedar Springs had a beautiful day for our fall festival on Friday!!! Our residents enjoyed music, a cakewalk, and other games!! The best part of the day was enjoying fun with our friends and the beautiful sunshine!! We could NOT ask for a more PERFECT day!!

Groundhog Day at Brookdale Cedar Springs Here's a little groundhog furry and brown he's coming up to look around. If he sees his shadow, down he'll go, then six more weeks of winter, OH NO!!! Even though the Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow..... We still can enjoy chocolate pudding in our warm community!!!!
This afternoon we took a Popcorn Cart to each apartment. On the cart we had bags of popcorn and sodas for each resident. It was a fun afternoon with laughter and smiles.
Always end the day with a positive thought no matter how hard today was, tomorrow is full of possibilities.
We had our vaccine clinic Friday, and we made it a FUN day! "Past year we had to freeze.... Because of foreseen disease... New year begins with vaccines.. Now hopefully we can regain our routines!!"
