Our residents are getting ready for Halloween by decorating their door areas. Follow the post for the next three days and comment on your favorite. On Halloween when we dress up and deliver candy and treats to the residents, we will give out prizes for most original, cutest, scariest, and all around most voted for.
Bodies in motion stay in motion. Inline dancing beginners class we are learning the Hand Jive, Elvira (four corners), and even the Hokey Pokey. Did you know doing the Hokey Pokey stretches and works your whole body? Pictured are residents doing the Hand Jive.
One of the many past times enjoyed by our residents is gardening. Brookdale clear lake is proud to be the home of a few master gardeners. However, you don't need to be a master gardener to putter around in these gardens.
Not a bad turnout for the Brookdale Clear Lake team's annual Alzheimer's Walk. We enjoyed coffee and donuts before walking a mile for a cure. Even during the trying times of a pandemic, we were able to raise $1240.00. Thank you to everyone who participated and who donated to this great cause.

What an honor to know these individuals. Thank you for your service!! We celebrated our veterans all day long, starting with a veterans breakfast followed by a parade and ending with patriotic music and goodies for everyone. A couple of our residents quilted 54 lap quilts, one for each of our veterans. Thank you, Lee and Carol for all your hard work!

A little goat therapy goes a long way. Residents got to pet and play with some baby goats. Thank you, Goat Yoga for bringing the goats and putting up the pen outside the front of our building. You can't see it, but the residents were all smiles behind their masks.
