Some more pictures from our German “wurst” party. For this year's annual Oktoberfest we had bratwurst, sour kraut, pretzels, and beer. All the food was made in our activity kitchen with help from our residents.
Just some of our Brookdale Deer Creek Sarasota residents kicking off today’s Octoberfest party. Before the food, drinks, and music, residents helped with the party decorations. Then we had photo booth pictures taken.
We had a wonderful seasonal snack the other day, baked apple with vanilla ice cream.
When Jack York, iN2L's co-founder and president, saw that conventional technology was too difficult for most older adults to use meaningfully, he decided to find a way to make it accessible for all levels of physical and cognitive ability. We are thrilled to have him join Brookdale’s Director of Dementia Care and Programs, Juliet Holt-Klinger to discuss the use of technology to create personalized experiences that engage and connect older adults to their loved ones for our webinar on November 18th. When Bill and Louise began considering senior living options for Bill's sister, Pam, the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine became a major point of interest for their next steps. Now, after receiving the vaccine and transitioning to her new community, Pam is an official resident of Brookdale Cary.
The CDC strongly recommends the COVID-19 vaccine and it’s so important that as many people as possible get vaccinated. We will be having our second vaccine clinic on February 12th from 11:00 am to
5:00 pm for community residents and associates who are interested in receiving their first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Getting vaccinated will help protect you, your friends, family and other members of your community. Learn more about our efforts around the COVID-19 vaccine here:
