In the aftermath of Tropical Storm Isaias, we remain focused on the safety and comfort of our residents and associates and are working as quickly as we can to return to normal. We have detailed emergency plans in place for storms like these; however, with any disaster, there are sometimes unexpected circumstances and challenges that arise. Our corporate teams are supporting our local communities with the same goal in mind: the safety and comfort of our residents and associates. Our ladies decorated their pumpkins that they selected from our Fall Festival pumpkin patch. They are just beautiful!!
We had a wonderful day in Clare Bridge celebrating World Smile Day. The day was filled with smiles and laughter. We designed and painted our own smiley faces and then posed for some silly pictures. We may have our masks on, but you can’t hide our BIG smiles!
Even our staff got into the spirit and celebrated with us!!
We brought smiles to everyone’s faces today for World Smile Day during our Fall Festival, which was a huge hit! Frankie, a fantastic entertainer, had us singing and dancing. Residents picked their pumpkins from our pumpkin patch, and enjoyed apple cider with donuts! Memories were captured with beautiful pictures at Fall Photo Booth!
There are so many benefits to listening and singing to music. Our residents sang karaoke with the lyrics mirrored to the TV so that everyone could sing and join in on the fun!
Our ladies were very creative making autumn door wreaths. The results were just beautiful!
The benefits of having fresh flowers reduces stress and improves your mood; what better way to spend the afternoon than creating your own flower arrangements with friends!!
Our Dining Services Director, Anthony welcomed our residents to the reopening of our dining room! It was a happy day for all!

This year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s is different from prior years, but Brookdale will continue to help raise awareness and strive to support people living with dementia to live their best life possible.

It’s World Kindness Day today. It’s a day to remind ourselves of the importance of being kind to others. Being kind can significantly improve our physical and emotional well-being. Our residents painted rocks with inspirational sayings, which were used to recognize our staff from various departments (concierge, caregivers, dining, and housekeeping) for what they do for us each day! Thank you all!
Celebrating Mocktail Day in Clare Bridge. Enjoying a few types of frozen cocktails - Pina Coladas, Mango Margaritas, and Strawberry Daiquiris. We did a taste test and the majority enjoyed the Strawberry Daiquiris, however all the glasses were empty by the time our social finished!
Today, we held a ceremony to pay tribute to all the veterans for their sacrifice and bravery in protecting our nation. Our veterans received an appreciation certificate and a personalized door hanger with special messages honoring them for their service and commitment to our country.
Brookdale Emerson partakes in the National Wear Red Day, today, February 5th to spread awareness of heart disease as a leading cause of death for Americans. Our residents were apart of this important message as well.

February marks Black History month that reflects on the significant roles that African-Americans have played in shaping US history. For that reason, we had a presentation on the subject matter and ended it with beautiful music from various musicians such as Nat King Cole and others.
Snow, snow everywhere!! Our residents enjoying the beauty of the snow, so we brought the fun inside making a snowman!
We are having “snow” much fun in Clare Bridge today...keeping warm inside while still enjoying the snow!
