On Veterans Day we honor all, who answered a service call. Soldiers young, and soldiers old, fought for freedom, brave and bold. Some have lived, while others died, and all of them deserve our pride. We're proud of all the soldiers who kept thinking of red, white, and blue. They fought for us and all our rights, they fought through many days and nights. And though we may not know each name, we thank ALL veterans just the same.
Today's weather has had many of us changing plans. We are sad to say that our Adult Trick or Treating event has been delayed until Monday, November 2nd from 4:00 to 5:30pm. One of our dining room servers, Mercedes, has gotten her COVID-19 vaccine. She did it to protect everyone around her!
Efforts towards COVID-19 prevention have become part of our daily lives, and we are so pleased to share that our Brookdale residents and associates are among the first group to have access to the COVID-19 vaccine. We are partnering with CVS Health through the federal government’s Pharmacy Partnership for long-term care program and today Brookdale Falling Creek held our first vaccine clinic for our community residents and associates.
As the number of people affected by dementia continues to grow, more complex issues related to the disease are gaining public attention. Among the more sensitive: personal stories of spouses and partners of those with advanced levels of the disease forming new romantic relationships while continuing to care for their loved ones.
