They continue to help raise awareness about the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. They continue to help raise funds that make a difference in the lives of those facing Alzheimer’s. Brookdale Senior Living Inc. continues to be one of the largest corporate supporters of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. We are working on a BIG surprise over here at Brookdale Fayetteville and we need YOUR help! Our beloved resident, Margie, is turning 100 years old on 12/12/20! Margie is a world traveler and we thought it would be great to get 100 postcards from all around the world for her 100th birthday! Margie was originally from New York City but moved to the Albany area as a child. She still loves reminiscing about NYC. Margie went to college at Oneonta State and became an Elementary School Teacher. In fact, one of her first jobs was running a one-room schoolhouse! In addition to her rewarding career, she is a talented painter, loves the great outdoors, has a green thumb, and has traveled from Australia to New Mexico and everywhere in between! Please send postcards to: Brookdale Fayetteville 5125 Highbridge St. Fayetteville, NY 13066

Veterans Day is a very special, yet somber day to many Americans. At Brookdale Fayetteville, we honored our veterans as well as lost and missing service people with "A Salute to Courage and Freedom." We observed the "Missing Man" and set a place for those who did not return from war. We prayed together and sang patriotic songs. We honored the veterans in our building with applause and thanks and had the most American lunch we could think of, chili cheese dogs and fries! Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve our great nation!
From all of us at Brookdale, happy Veterans Day to those who have served to protect our freedom.
