Wardetta (Detta) was so happy and all smiles receiving her Mother's Day presents. Detta said that this was so nice to have our staff do this for all our Moms during these trying times.
Juanita loves to apply her talent to doing crafts. She really wanted to make this patriotic necklace to wear for Memorial Day.
Ethel was so very happy to receive her beautiful flowers, her helium Happy Mother's Day balloon, and her cupcake.
She loves that during these trying times that she is able to reach out to her family by way of FaceTime. Ethel wishes all of her friends here at Brookdale Garden Grove a very happy late Mother's Day.
Isabel was very blessed to be able to adopt her boys and be their Mom. She loves her children, and grandchildren so very much! Being a Mom comes from one's heart and soul!! Happy late Mother's Day Isabel!
Daisy was feeling a little blue not being able to see her daughter Valerie. So we surprised Daisy by getting her these gifts, but the biggest surprise was being able to FaceTime Daisy with her daughter on Mother's Day! Happiness comes in small gestures! Happy Mother's Day Daisy!
Carol was having a blast roasting her marshmallows to make a s'more. She said this reminded her of when she was a kid having s'mores.
We were really happy to surprise Bob with a birthday cupcake, balloon, and his birthday card signed by all of our management team. Happy 88th Birthday Bob!! You're the best!!
Diane is painting a sun catcher to place on her patio window. It is a picture of fish. She chose this picture because she is changing her apartment decor to lighthouses, marine life, etc. Diane really likes to participate in the craft classes offered here.
Birthday wish come true!
All Andy wanted for his birthday was to see his dog, Lola who is 18 years old.
Andy came out to the Visiting area and long and behold Lola was sitting there with her tail wagging to wait for Andy to sit down, so she could give him lots of kisses.
Andy said you know it's the little things in life that give you the best days of your life.

Here is Beverly participating in the Brookdale B-Fit cardio and body strength exercise... Beverly says this is what keeps her physically and mentally active at her young age of 101 years. Keep going, Beverly!!
Penny was really happy to make her Veterans Day necklace. Good job Penny!
Andy wanted to learn how to play bingo, so we showed him how to play and he won! Now, Andy plans on coming to more bingo games in hopes of getting to yell BINGO!!
Lynda took first place for her pumpkin creation, we named her pumpkin "the nine lives cat". Lynda loves cats, she even feeds the stray kitty that hangs around our outside community. Great job Lynda! Happy Halloween.
We painted cards with only a paint brush, water, and believe it or not, paint dots on the picture. Kristina is a artist with many beautiful paintings that she has done all her life. She just couldn't believe how this project came out so beautifully! Now she is going to send this card out to her family.
Carol was so happy to have a sundae! Enjoy it, you deserve it.
We received our first round of vaccines against Covid, and we are anxiously awaiting to receive our second round of vaccines. We can, and will win our battle against Covid. We will be the Champions!

Catherine's granddaughter is a nurse, and she tested positive for Covid and is in quarantine. Megan wanted to face time with her grandmother because she knew that her grandmother always had that magic touch to make her feel better, and be more at ease. Catherine was so happy to know that she was still needed to comfort her family. Catherine's smile says it all!
Pamela, Hanofi, and the rest of our staff here at Brookdale Garden Grove thank you to all of our residents, their families, and our staff for helping us bring this COVID vaccine clinic to our community. Mary was happy to help out in getting the resident's consent forms filled out and ready to move us forward to receiving their COVID vaccines.
Our community is more than ready to win the battle against COVID!!
Julie showed how she was so happy to receive the first COVID vaccination, and can't wait till she gets the second vaccine. Julie is doing this not only for herself but for the residents and her coworkers as well.
During crafts class, Carol was amazed at how we put this miniature gumball machine together.
Carol is going to put this miniature ornament on her Christmas tree.
