We are definitely getting ready for fall. We have been making wreaths, wine glass pumpkins, and mason jar lighting. It certainly will be festive around Brookdale Jones Farm.
Our Brookdale residents have had so much fun lately with our weekly "Make and Take". We have made button bowls, lavender sachets, and birdhouses. We certainly have some talented folks.
Another one of our fun activities — a cooking demo! This week we enjoyed chicken spaghetti, roasted parmesan broccoli, peach tea, and a wonderful brown sugar cheesecake. Yum!
Before the summer gets away, we can't help but brag on our Brookdale gardeners. This year we have enjoyed fruits, veggies, and beautiful flowers.
Our Brookdale Jones Farm residents are so technologically in tune. The wonderful Ms. Carol Chase taught a lesson to the Christian Women's Job Corp from her apartment via Zoom.
Brookdale Jones Farm sends out a huge thank you to the North Alabama Region Antique Automobile Club for the wonderful antique car parade. It was a beautiful day and those wonderful cars brought back some very fond memories. Thank you again so much.
Who knew you could make such cute pumpkins out of mason jar rings. We had so much fun decorating the rings and then putting them together. We even put fairy lights in them, so they could light up.
Even if it is starting to get cool outside, Brookdale Jones Farm residents find ways to stay active. We love Corn Hole, it also helps us with our bowling swing.
It is always so encouraging to see that no matter our abilities, we still work at being active. Every Friday afternoon, these ladies enjoy their Wii bowling.

Today Brookdale Jones Farm would like to spotlight our Veteran of the day, Mr. Davis. Mr. Davis enlisted in the Air Force because of his love for planes. After his service in the Air Force, he became an Aerospace Engineer. Thank you for your service.
Our Veteran spotlight today for Brookdale Jones Farm is Mr. Crumrine. He was drafted into the Air Force where he served in World War II overseas. Thank you for your service.
Brookdale Jones Farm's Veteran spotlight today honors Mr. Sharp. He was commissioned as an officer in the Army. After his military service, Mr. Sharp worked as a Civil Engineer. Thank you for your service.
Veteran Spotlight for Brookdale Jones Farm is Mr. Hale. He enlisted in the Air Force and served overseas. Retiring as an officer Mr. Hale then went into Engineering. Thank you for your service.
Brookdale Jones Farm has had their first Covid vaccine clinic, and we are all excited.
The residents at Brookdale Jones Farm can be very creative when it comes to making their own pizzas.
One of our dining room servers, Mercedes, has gotten her COVID-19 vaccine. She did it to protect everyone around her!
