While this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s events will be different, they continue to be deeply meaningful. They continue to help raise awareness about the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. They continue to help raise funds that make a difference in the lives of those facing Alzheimer’s. Brookdale Senior Living Inc. continues to be one of the largest corporate supporters of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This year, thousands of Brookdale associates, residents, and patients are participating in or supporting virtual walks across the country.

📌 Hurricane Delta Update | October 8 📌
Our primary goal is to help ensure the ongoing safety of our residents. At this time, there are no calls for evacuations. The plan for our communities in the path of the storm is to shelter in place.
We are monitoring the storm and have a detailed emergency preparedness plan in place to try and address all aspects of an emergency situation. Our coastal communities are equipped with water, food, onsite or ready-to-deploy generators, and supplies, including an adequate supply of face coverings, hand sanitizer, and disinfectants to care for residents.
We are taking appropriate actions to keep them safe throughout the storm and following the guidance and direction of authorities when it comes to potential evacuations.

Our residents loved Chef Scott's showcase today. He made peanut butter cheese cake. He even gave us a lesson about George Washington Carver who is an African American scientist that is known for creating more than 300 products from the peanut plant. What a great way to honor Black History Month.
Today we started our Valentine's Day craft. We can not wait to finish.
