Thursday we had a corn hole tournament! Kathy won! Then on Friday, we busted open a piñata to find the first clue to our scavenger hunt! Connie and Kayla were the first to find the treasure!
We made homemade ice cream to share with everyone, then had a blast turning our staff's white shirts into art!
The Kona Ice Truck paid us a refreshing visit this week! Thank you Cornerstone Hospice!

We had our Halloween Mario Kart race today! Donkey Kong won, but we think he cheated! Also had a haunted happy hour!
This is John, our Veteran Spotlight for the month of February. John enlisted in the Navy in 1942, shortly after marrying his wife of now 78 years. John was stationed on a patrol craft that safely escorted convoys of war supplies around the world. The Navy sent him to Perdue University, and he became a Second Class Electricians Mate. John operated the Gyro Compass, navigating the ship all over the ocean. John left the Navy in 1945 after the war ended. Thank you for your service to your country and us all!
The CDC strongly recommends the COVID-19 vaccine and it’s so important that as many people as possible get vaccinated. We will be having our second vaccine clinic on February 10th starting at 11:00 am for community residents and associates who are interested in receiving their first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
