The residents of Lakeview Crossing are enjoying painting some seasonal art projects. Who doesn't love apples and pumpkins? They traced the picture on the canvas and then completed their painting. A few of the residents created their work of art in a group setting while others completed them independently. They all turned out wonderful.
The residents of Lakeview Crossing cannot get out and travel but that isn't stopping them from exploring the world. With their travel guide, Katie, they have virtually toured several countries and enjoyed cuisine that represents the countries. The last virtual tour took them to Switzerland. The residents enjoy viewing travel videos and having a fact-finding discussion session afterward.
Joan and Ray celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary! We wanted to keep the families feeling connected, so we emailed pictures to them. Happy anniversary!!!
Happy hour is a great time to relax with a few friends. The residents enjoy the cold beer and wine that is offered.

Lakeview Crossing is moving to inside visits starting October 19th. The visitor limit is 2 and 1 visit per resident is allowed per week. Visitors will be required to have their temperature and pulse ox taken before the visit. Visitors must wear a mask and maintain social distance. Call the concierge to schedule a 30-minute visit. Ground Hog Day is today!!! What does it mean? It derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch, if a groundhog sees his shadow due to clear weather, he will go back into his den. If this happens, we will have 6 more weeks of winter. Let's hope he doesn't see his shadow then spring will come early.

Katie the Resident Program Coordinator has taken the residents virtually to Aruba, Turks, and Caicos. They review a video about the islands and reminisce about their travels to these destinations. Katie shares interesting facts about the islands, it's an activity enjoyed by many. One of the residents owns a house on Montserrat and shared a lot of interesting facts about the Island and the at it's the only island in the Caribbean that has an active volcano. We will continue to explore many countries and locations virtually in the months to come.
