We would like to honor our Veteran of the month Richard. Richard served in the United States Army as a Command Sergeant Major of the 63rd Infantry ARCOM (Army Reserve Command) Division. He held this position for 5 years. As a staff sergeant, he was in Korea for 1 year (1952 – 1953). He was in three major battles, 'White Horse', the 'Punch Bowl'; and 'Bloody Ridge'. His unit received a 'Congressional Acknowledgment for bravery' in the battle of 'Bloody Ridge'. Richard retired in 1990. We are so grateful for his service. He is also the community photographer, the VP of the resident council, and a B-Fit instructor.
