Brookdale Mount Vernon Drive welcomes Libby Red as the new programming coordinator. Libby comes to us from Asheville, North Carolina where she worked as a recreational therapist at a specialized dementia skilled nursing facility. She has 10 years of experience with dementia programming. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with her dog, and cooking. Welcome, Libby!

Meet our new Executive Director, Laura Sangster! Laura lives in Dalton, Ga and has a background in Geriatric Social Work and Nursing Home Administration. She has been married to her husband, Scott, for 29 years, and they have one son, Jacob, who is in his third year of college at Kennesaw State University. Laura says, “Working with seniors is my passion, in fact, I consider it my calling. I feel honored to be a part of Brookdale Mount Vernon Drive and happy to be given this opportunity to serve our residents and their families.”

We had our Covid-19 vaccination clinic today! Our executive director is a Covid fighting champion and got it for her family, coworkers, and residents. Who will you do it for? 💉 🏆
Efforts towards COVID-19 prevention have become part of our daily lives, and we are so pleased to share that our Brookdale residents and associates are among the first group to have access to a COVID-19 vaccine. We are partnering with CVS Health through the federal government’s Pharmacy Partnership for Long-Term Care Program and will be having our first vaccine clinic on January 14th at 11:00 in the morning for community residents and associates who are interested in receiving the vaccine. Together, we can take action to prevent COVID-19. #BrookdaleHope
