We had a wonderful turnout for Brookdale University today as Illinois Senator Don Harmon spoke about the state of the state.
This past Friday we created a Farmer's Market Pop-Up style event. Residents were treated to a selection of seasonal goodies, and our team really enjoyed designing the display.
Brookdale University is our resident organized speaker series. The popular program is back in session and coordinating virtual meetings via Zoom. At 1:30 on Wednesday, October 21st, presenter Illinois Senator Don Harmon will be covering many topics related to Illinois. We have recently hosted some Chicago favorite luncheons. Chef Anthony and his team prepared Italian beef and Chicago style pizza. Dessert selections were Eli's cheesecake and brownies. Did you know that brownies originated in the late 19th century for the Columbian Exposition?
Janeen is very happy to be back behind the wheel! Our current bus schedule for small groups includes Tues/Thurs early morning senior hours at Jewel, Wed senior hours at the Oak Park Public Library, and Friday afternoon scenic drives around the area.

Efforts towards COVID-19 prevention have become part of our daily lives, and we are so pleased to share that our Brookdale residents and associates are among the first group to have access to a COVID-19 vaccine. We are partnering with CVS Health through the federal government’s Pharmacy Partnership for Long-Term Care Program and will be having our first vaccine clinic on Friday, February 5th at 10am-4pm for our community residents and associates who are interested in receiving the vaccine. Together, we can take action to prevent COVID-19. #BrookdaleHope
