Burnout can interfere with your ability to provide crisis support during a natural disaster or in times of stress and anxiety. To be an effective caregiver, start with giving yourself some love. These self-care tips may help!

Brookdale Sakonnet Bay walks to end Alzheimer's. Our residents and staff walked the pathway around the building to show support for Alzheimer's. It may have been a little different this year, but we all had a great time. We had beautiful weather, music, refreshments, and most of all a lot of laughs, all for a great cause. Kudos to everyone that took part in the day.

We are thrilled to have him join Brookdale’s Director of Dementia Care and Programs, Juliet Holt-Klinger to discuss the use of technology to create personalized experiences that engage and connect older adults to their loved ones for our webinar on November 18th. An exciting day for our resident Frank M...
Frank M was lucky enough to turn his passion for golf into a career. Since the 1950s, he maintained the condition of golf courses including those at Belmont, Lexington, and Spring Valley Country Clubs, destination resorts at Mount Washington and Boca Raton, and since 1966 at the Country Club of Halifax in Massachusetts. On February 4, he was honored at the annual meeting of the Golf Course Superintendent’s Association of America for his 50 years of active membership. No trip to Florida was necessary since he could join the meeting from the comfort of his recliner at Brookdale. Congratulations Frank, wow that is amazing!
The magic of zoom is touching the hearts of our residents at Brookdale Sakonnet Bay. The First Grade and Brookdale Read Aloud program has been a big hit. The first graders read books via zoom to our residents, and the residents read a book back to the children. To see the expressions on the residents' faces while reading is priceless. Thank you, Mrs. Simmons and the first graders at Pocasset School for including us in this program. We can see we have many books to read and look forward to all the videos from the children. Thanks again!
