We had a hot air balloon festival today! Balloons everywhere for the residents to see as they walked through. Lots of festival food like cotton candy, popcorn, pretzels, and circus peanuts and donuts of course. Tonight we will light them up after dinner.
It is National Centenarian’s Day! Today we honor those who’ve celebrated 100 birthdays or more. We have 3 beautiful ladies who we are celebrating. Anita 105, Tauhlee 105, and Ruth 100. Congratulations on this achievement!!

It was an exciting day at Brookdale Spicewood Springs! The beauty shop opened and the residents were able to start eating back in the dining room. Smiles were bright today!

Yesterday was World Communion Day. Today our residents were able to participate with the help of Austin Community Bible Fellowship. Thank you for helping our residents to stay connected spiritually.

Happy Veterans Day to all who served our country! Today we celebrated Veterans Day individually in the rooms with a tribute to each veteran with special music, cards from the staff, a poem, treats, and small gift. Some families were able to join via FaceTime and Zoom to be a part of the celebration. 🇺🇸
