We are now scheduling porch visits! We are only doing 30-minute visits Monday through Friday at this time, and the last porch visit will be scheduled at 4:00pm. If you have any questions about scheduling please call Katie at 540-885-9500. You and your loved one must remain 6 feet apart and wear a mask during the whole visit time – we are able to allow 2 guests at a visit at this time.

This week our Brookdale Staunton residents have been enjoying the flavors of fall!! They've had maple pecan coffee, pumpkin spice coffee, and for our Thirsty Thursday Drink Cart, apple cider & pumpkin shaped sugar cookies!!

The Brookdale Staunton team got a big surprise from one of our Brookdale Staunton family members, delicious treats from Reunion Bakery in Downtown Staunton!!
For our Kindness Happens Project, some of the residents wrote positive words on artificial fall leaves. The leaves were then hidden around Brookdale Staunton for the staff to find and brighten their day!
What a wonderful Veteran's Day celebration we had yesterday! Special thanks to the VFW for organizing a Veterans Day parade, the letters, and signs from the community, and the beautiful patriotic flowers! Thank you to Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah for the gift to each of our veterans! Because of your kindness and thoughtfulness, our veterans, residents, and staff had a very memorable Veterans Day!
On this Veteran's Day, Brookdale Staunton would like to say thank you to our brave men and women who have served or are currently serving our country.
Phoebe, the physical therapist assistant for Genesis Rehab., wanted to do something special for the residents and staff of Brookdale Staunton. So, she contacted Blue Ridge Apple Cider Donuts to come out and make fresh, delicious Apple Cider Donuts for everyone to enjoy!! Some residents enjoyed their donuts with a cup of coffee or cider while sitting on the front porch! It was a wonderful afternoon!! Thank you so much Phoebe!
Brookdale Staunton's Nature Ambassador has been hard at work giving these plants a little extra tender loving care! He rescued these beautiful Chrysanthemums from last year's fall decorations and gave them new life! This cactus has never bloomed, but he worked his magic and for the first time ever, has these gorgeous flowers that everyone has enjoyed!

Christina Hutchison joined Brookdale Staunton over 4 years ago as the Sales and Marketing Manager. She has been in sales and marketing for over 20 years and has over 8 years of experience in Senior Living.
Christina is a native of the area and is well known in the greater community for her passion and commitment to serving seniors. She takes pride in her position at Brookdale Staunton and is a great asset to the team.
