We worked on creating thaumatropes today, they came out really wonderful. A thaumatrope is an optical toy. It consists of a disk with two pictures on each side and when the strings are twirled in a fast motion, it creates an optical illusion, as if both pictures were synced into one.
While this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s events will be different, they continue to be deeply meaningful. They continue to help raise awareness about the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. They continue to help raise funds that make a difference in the lives of those facing Alzheimer’s. Brookdale Senior Living Inc. continues to be one of the largest corporate supporters of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This year, thousands of Brookdale associates, residents, and patients are participating in or supporting virtual walks across the country.

We are thrilled to have him join Brookdale’s Director of Dementia Care and Programs, Juliet Holt-Klinger to discuss the use of technology to create personalized experiences that engage and connect older adults to their loved ones for our webinar on November 18th.
