Ms. Eva Cofer loves sitting outside on her patio listening to the birds and waving to her neighbors. Our courtyard is a beautiful place for our residents to sit and visit.
Today was the "Reopening Lunch" here at Brookdale Tullahoma. Everything went as planned and even better. There was prime rib cooked to perfection, risotto, cauliflower with pesto, garlic rolls, and a cake that would melt in your mouth. (butter cream icing, with walnuts & caramel)
Our Alzheimer's Walk was one to remember.
The Alzheimer's Walk went off very well for both staff and residents. We walked around the block, waved at the neighbors, and smiled at everyone. Yes, there were smiles under every mask.
Beth Thames runs our beauty shop here at the Tullahoma Brookdale and has been terribly missed by all the ladies and most of the men. It's incredible how a woman's hair can play such a huge part in how her day goes. We have all joined forces and done what we could while we've waited to get Beth back. She left a note for the residents saying she missed them...they loved it. See you soon Beth.
Cheryl Dalton, our Sales Manager, works tirelessly to ensure that our residents are matched with the apartment that best suits their needs. She is dedicated to helping each family member feel comfortable with the decision they've made. She's been known to take the mic and entertain our folks, just because she enjoys seeing them smile. Stop by today for a cup of coffee and a virtual tour (all from a rocking chair on our front porch).
Everyone had a blast painting pumpkins at the last all-staff meeting. The residents are happy they get to decide the winning pumpkin. Just stay tuned to see the winning pumpkin.
Everyone had a great time bringing in their special items to show each other. There are always interesting stories about each treasure and many laughs.
Lawrence is very dedicated to watering these beautiful pepper plants every morning and in the evening. He says, "It's the Epsom salt that makes all the difference".
Painting pumpkins was a good way to relax and spend time with friends this afternoon.
Ms. Ann is 90 today and still feels 50 most days. She is a joy to be around and her sense of humor still keeps us all laughing. She was a school teacher for many years and doesn't mind calling down any monkey business.
Happy Birthday Ms. Ann, we love you.

Three trophies were given for prizes to end the 2020 Halloween party. Mr. and Mrs. Penfold took best-dressed couple as Frankenstein and The sweetest Pumpkin ever. Mr. Mullins played his card well and won best-dressed male. Mrs. Agnell got her own wish granted and took the best-dressed woman.
Our folks had such a good time getting temporary tattoos, that some staff members even joined them.
Selena won the pumpkin decorating contest with her "Two-Faced" masterpiece. Thank you to all our residents for casting your vote.
