The New York Department of Health (NY DOH) has issued visitor guidance for adult care facilities that meet specific benchmarks and are able to develop a plan for outdoor visits. A criteria of the NY DOH guidance is to share a copy of the visitor plan publically. Brookdale Vestal West residents and associates gathered together as we celebrate our Veterans today. Residents were given certificates in honor of their service and sweatshirts with the symbol of the branch they were in. We spoke about freedom and what it means to be a veteran. We ended with patriotic songs to include “ God Bless America”!
