On September 6th, our Executive Director, Andrea celebrated her 14th Anniversary with Brookdale Senior Living! To celebrate this special day she made pineapple upside-down cakes with the residents for lunch!
Today is National Boston Cream Pie Day. Our residents enjoyed them for their dessert at lunch. It was delicious. A big thank you to our Dining Services Manager, Cynthia.
Of the young adults with autism that pursue further schooling after high school, 75% to 85% are unemployed after graduation. Octogenarian Beverly Ficon is helping change that through her work with Spectrum Works.

Today was Beauty Shop Day at W. Eisenhower Parkway!
We had our Alzheimer's Walk for our community on Sunday, October 11th. We walked and planted the flowers and the residents were very excited, especially Mary who was ready to go and plant her flower. It was a beautiful day.
Activities around the community today. We did some painting, coloring and listened to music.

We had a wonderful Veterans Day celebration for our two veterans Albert & Bill. Brookdale W. Eisenhower would like to say a big thank you to Kassie from Heartland Hospice for their certificates and pins, Kara from Hospice of Lenawee for their Veterans day snacks and reading material, and to Mr. Kirt from Patriot Angels for their certificates of recognition. It was a fun afternoon.

We had our first Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic on Jan 28th. It was an exciting day. A big thank you to CVS, our leadership team, and all the associates that helped make it successful.
Tomorrow is the day of Brookdale W. Eisenhower's first COVID vaccine clinic. Our residents & associates are looking forward to the opportunity to be part of the solution to end this pandemic. Our Executive Director Andrea & Nurse Alex have already shown leadership in getting the vaccination already.
