In the aftermath of Tropical Storm Isaias, we remain focused on the safety and comfort of our residents and associates and are working as quickly as we can to return to normal. We have detailed emergency plans in place for storms like these; however, with any disaster, there are sometimes unexpected circumstances and challenges that arise. Our corporate teams are supporting our local communities with the same goal in mind: the safety and comfort of our residents and associates. Happy October! We can't believe how fast autumn has come. In celebration, we had a Sip and Paint pumpkin event! They definitely had a blast ringing in the new season with this activity.
Happy first day of autumn! In honor of the season, we decided to make autumn wreaths. WOW, they came out absolutely gorgeous! Our residents here at Brookdale West Hartford are so talented and crafty!
The hairdresser is back at Brookdale West Hartford and this beauty is SO happy! She said, "This is how I looked before!" I think we can all agree that we've missed going to the hair salon over the past year! :) Cheers to feeling good!

Our event last night was a huge success filled with food, fun, gifts, and most importantly...love! Our first gathering with family members in such a long time - it was surely needed and everyone had such an amazing time! What a way to welcome in the fall season :)
Our chili cook-off in Clare Bridge was so fun, productive, and super yummy!

Our Friends For Life Apple Fest was a success! So much fun and laughter. It was so nice to get together with everyone outside before it gets too cold!

Everyone had such an amazing time here at Brookdale West Hartford for Halloween! On Friday we had a Halloween costume contest/party and on Saturday we had another Halloween party on the actual day!
Halloween games and trivia took place, a documentary on the history of the holiday, seasonal crafts, and fun Halloween movies all week long! We all had such a blast!
Happy birthday to our ray of sunshine! So many goodies from loving family members definitely made the day even more special.

When Bill and Louise began considering senior living options for Bill's sister, Pam, the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine became a major point of interest for their next steps. Now, after receiving the vaccine and transitioning to her new community, Pam is an official resident of Brookdale Cary.
Our hot cocoa bar at Clare Bridge was a success! Perfect for the cold winter season! :)
Today was the day here at Brookdale West Hartford. Residents and employees had the amazing opportunity of getting vaccinated for COVID-19! We feel so happy and safe!
One of our dining room servers, Mercedes, has gotten her COVID-19 vaccine. She did it to protect everyone around her!
We were in the midst of finishing up some crafts and talking about our future sewing, crocheting and knitting projects and one of our talented residents went to her room and got one of the beautiful pieces she made years back! How gorgeous this bag is! We love seeing present projects done by residents but also love seeing past ones even more!
