We are Halloween ready with our Great Pumpkin Experience event at our Ballston Quarter, Ridgedale Center, The SoNo Collection, and The Shoppes at Carlsbad locations. This holiday season we partnered with Volunteers of America to collect and distribute coats in the communities we serve. Over 5,500 items were donated to our Warm for the Winter Coat Drive, which took place at about 140 of our retail properties. Back in June, Sooner Mall transformed their parking lot into a COVID-19 testing site, creating a space where community members could drive by and get tested. Now, Sooner Mall is once again giving back by donating a space within the center to be used for administering the vaccine. Nearly 1,000 vaccines were distributed on the first day, and we are honored to partner with the Cleveland County Health Department as we continue to distribute the vaccine within the county.
To support its local restaurants - while also highlighting the importance of socially distancing and eating outdoors- Dunwoody, Georgia created the "Painted Picnic Table Tour." 25 picnic benches were painted by local nonprofits and placed at 8 locations, including our very own Perimeter Mall! We love being part of initiatives that support safe and memorable experiences.

The Parks Mall at Arlington is partnering with Kiwibot to launch a test of their robotic delivery platform. The Parks is the first mall in the US to test the Kiwibot AI delivery platform which was developed by Kiwibot in partnership with UC Berkeley. The test has been designed to explore this delivery mode of the future over the next two weeks. David, the robot, is pictured here making a delivery!

The Grand Canal Shoppes in Las Vegas partnered with a local immersive technology company to create a custom AR filter through Instagram to activate and bring to life its Wishing Tree art installation. Visitors are able to scan a QR code which opens up a filter where they can use the voice-activated technology to say their wish and watch it magnificently transport itself to the tree canopy. The AR experience launched on New Year’s Eve allowing guests to make 2021 wishes and will continue into February for Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year.

We launched Let It Shine–a brand new curated drive through light show–at Northbrook Court this holiday season. The state of the art, touchless light display allowed visitors to experience a symphony of sight and sound from the comfort of their cars The inaugural year was met with great demand! On Saturday, February 14, Fashion Show kicked off a two-week celebration of the Year of the Ox with several cultural performances. A special blessing was placed on each anchor store and shoppers were able to witness as traditional lion and dragon performers paraded through the shopping center. For the rest of February, guests will be able to continue celebrating by viewing the center's annual Lantern Garden Dance.
We partnered with Make-A-Wish Foundation to give a deserving young man a shopping spree at Willowbrook Mall. Our retailers contributed shoes, jewelry, cologne, a watch, and a cookie cake, making this a truly special and memorable event.
