In January of 2003, The Brooklyn Fencing Center arrived in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. As a fencing center for all ages, Brooklyn Fencing is proud to be Brooklyn's first competitive fencing club, with a mission to make the excitement and joy of fencing more accessible to Brooklynites. The club offers showers, locker rooms and other impressive amenities in over 6,500 square feet of fencing facilities. In addition to fencing classes, the center features armory services and fencing birthday parties.
The Brooklyn Fencing Center has been featured on renowned programs like the WB11 10 o'clock news, Fox 5's Good Morning New York and in the pages of Time Out New York, not to mention features in many local Brooklyn papers. You can watch the center’s fencing clip at NY1.com.
To honor of the first competition in the center’s permanent space, Borough President Marty Markowitz proclaimed September 26th Brooklyn Fencing Day in Brooklyn.
The Brooklyn Fencing Center is a member of the Metropolitan Division of the US Fencing Association. Look for its porcupine patch at a fencing competition near you!
