For those of you who may be unfamiliar with our Snow Policy, let me explain how we do it.
We monitor the Harrisonburg City Schools: if they close, we often close as well, but not always. We do this for several reasons:
1. Some of the staff often can’t get out
of their driveways early in the morning.
2 In order to open at 8 am, most of the staff have to leave home before sunrise, often over as yet unplowed roads.
3 Many of the staff have children who now have to stay home from school, and have no options for day care.
4 Lastly, a percentage of the patients cancel their appointments, or not come in.
Dr Sutt and I will ultimately make the final decision, regardless of school closings.
Therefore it is always a good idea to call the office to be sure, because the recorded message will tell you if we are closed. But for the most part: When It Snows, We Usually Close.
Someone asked if we took Insurance and Care Credit. As far as I know, the answer is yes. Please call the office and ask for Jen Fox. She can answer all your questions.
