Stacey Brown-Brocklehurst, M.D., family physician and sports medicine specialist, sees patients at the St. Clairsville and Powhatan health centers, affiliates of Wheeling Hospital. Dr. Brown-Brocklehurst, a native of Powhatan Point, earned a nursing degree from Ohio University School of Nursing, and her medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine. She completed the family medicine residency program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and also served a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has a subspecialty in Sports Medicine. Prior to joining BCH, Dr. Brown-Brocklehurst was in private practice as a primary care/sports medicine physician. Before she attended medical school, she was a registered nurse at BCH. In addition to her family medicine background, Dr. Brown-Brocklehurst has extensive experience in sports medicine. She currently is the team physician for St. Clairsville High School. From 2010-11, she served as team physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates, treating acute and chronic illness and injuries, both in Pittsburgh and at spring training in Bradenton, FL.
