Our office and Mutual of Enumclaw have partnered with Santiam Wildfire Relief Fund to fundraise for items needed for those affected by the wildfires. A lot of amazing donations have been made, but they are still needing some items for our furry friends! The deadline for drop-offs is 5pm on Thursday the 8th of October. Our office is a drop off site for any of the following items:
Cat and dog food
Cat Litter
Box fans
Can openers
Tarps
Laundry detergent
Garden hoses
All purpose cleaners
Rubber cleaning gloves
Extension cords
Gift cards for supplies
Thank you in advance for donations!
After a few crazy weeks, here is our last staff introduction! Thank you all for your continuous support.
Hey beautiful people!
My name is Joe Egli. For those who do not know yet, I purchased Brown Insurance Agency from Dan and Carl nearly two years ago. I have been with Brown insurance since spring of 2016 and worked at another agency in Salem for over a decade before that. I grew up in Aurora Oregon and after meeting Carl and Dan we all agreed this agency was a perfect fit for my future. I am here to assist you with your personal, business, farm, and life insurance needs, you just name it!
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife Shelly, and three adult kiddos Sydney, Madi, and Noah. I enjoy golfing, biking, exercise and am a certified Level 1 Crossfit trainer. I should also mention I am the BBQ KING! Volunteering, supporting my community through Rotary and the Chamber of commerce and getting out to meet people are all things I value and strive to do.
Please call or stop by and say hi, I would love to meet you.
In light of recent events, one of the many questions asked to our agency was how do we account for personal items. For a physical brochure with a detailed list you can email me at office@browninswoodburn.com and we'll send it to you.

Had the honor of delivering meals to 25 firefighters out at Drakes Crossing. I was in a pinch and not only did Teresa get it done, she refused to take payment. This beautiful lady loves her community ❤️. And a big thank you to our firefighters on the frontline. They are exhausted, consistent, hopeful and simply amazing!!

Cleaning Up After A Fire
What to do in an evacuation:
If possible, plan ahead:
• Stock your vehicle with water, coats, blankets, change of clothes, good walking shoes, toiletries.
• Use a backpack to store (centralize) your important papers, ID’s, back up phone charges, prescriptions/medications, etc.
• Fuel up the vehicle, keep it above ¾ tank at all times
• Have durable, comfortable clothes, socks and shoes ready at all times.
• Have a plan for where you would go, and have a plan B if that place is unavailable. Be familiar with secondary routes if the main roads are closed or backed up.
• Make sure all family members are aware of the plan and know what to do if you are separated.
• Take a video of your home and belongings, open closets and storage areas too. In case of total loss it will help you remember what was lost of the insurance company.
• Contact your insurance company, they may help pay for your accommodations even if your home is not damaged.
When returning to your home:
• Charge your phones/devices fully before leaving.
• Let friends/family know your intentions/schedule
• If damaged, do not enter home until it is deemed safe.
• Stay away from downed power lines,
• Do not bring your pets/livestock back until you are certain the site is livable.
• Expect resources to be limited (Water, electricity, gas), bring extra water and non-perishable food.
• Wait for insurance adjusters to inspect the property before you clean it up. You can/should stop further damage if reasonably possible and save any memorabilia you are able to get to.
