Dr. Porterfield has been practicing at Arizona Oncology's Green Valley office for over fifteen years. His prior positions include Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Southern Arizona VA Health Care Systems and University Medical Center in Tucson.
Among his many honors, Dr. Porterfield received The Charles W. Hall Jr. Memorial Award, Coronary Care Unit Resident of the Year from the University of Arizona, College of Medicine.
His articles have been published in The Fellow Reporter, Seminars in Urologic Oncology, Somatic Cell & Molecular Genetics and the Journal of Biological Chemistry.
