**UPDATED 3/21/2020** Regarding COVID-19: Keeping our clients, staff, and community healthy is our primary priority. In accordance with guidelines from the CDC and AVMA, we have instituted enhanced disinfection, personal sanitation, and self distancing protocols as well as screening all staff for signs of illness. We are implementing a curbside service policy and limiting access to our lobby. Please call upon arrival to the clinic and a staff member will come to your vehicle to retrieve your pet for examination and obtain all pertinent information. After examination, our doctors will communicate recommended diagnostics and treatments and then return your pet after completion. Please call and we will bring any medications, food, etc to your car for pickup. We are asking for all payments to be made by credit/debit card and this can be done with our mobile credit card reader at your vehicle or taken over the phone. If you or anyone in your household are showing symptoms of coughing, sneezing, fever, body aches/chills or have travelled outside of the country or to other higher risk areas, please inform us and we will do all we can to conduct business remotely. These steps are being taken to insure that we stay healthy and can stay OPEN to continue caring for the pets in our community through this crisis. We are all in this together and we will get through this and come out stronger as a community!

I couldn't have said it better myself. The vast majority of our wonderful clients have been very understanding during this time, but the very few people that are not during the day really affect the entire staff. Please know we are trying our very best to see as many sick pets as possible while also taking steps to protect our staff, clients, and community during these unprecedented times. Please be kind, be patient, and allow the amazing staff of your other family doctor some grace. ❤❤ -Dr. G B Street Veterinary Hospital is sharing a COVID-19 update. 8 June at 23:30 · Dear Clients, We need you to be patient with us. While we realize the current events over the past 2 months contribute to an overall daily amount of stress, you still need to be respectful to our staff—all staff. Multiple hospitals have closed and minimized their appointments due to the increased amount of time each visit takes. Our local ERs are experiencing wait times in the realm of 4-8 hours and sending patients our way. Given this, we have experienced a dramatic overflow in sick patients. We rarely turn anything away, and have always tried to provide gold standard medicine to the community at a reasonable cost. We understand that it’s frustrating to wait. We do. We have multiple people out sick, those who are here have been working late every night for the past 2 months. We are still trying to maintain cheerful demeanors, and comfort people in their saddest moments, but we are human, and we are tired. We are also tired of being yelled at, sworn at, and berated while we try to do everything in our power to provide a service to our community. To be treated poorly when you are trying so hard is hurtful. So please, if you plan on continuing to be a client with us, remember there are a lot of moving pieces behind the scenes. While you just see a crowded waiting area, sometimes we may be sitting with a crying owner as they say goodbye to their pet, performing an emergency procedure that was not foreseeable when an owner just thought it was a mild issue, trying to comfort a stressed pet, and go slowly for their safety and ours; setting up for an emergency surgery that couldn’t be afforded at another clinic (and we are the pets/owners last hope), etc. It’s unfortunate that we need to be posting reminders to be kind and reasonable, but that’s where we are. If you have constructive feedback, you are always welcome to reach out to management. If you would like to try another hospital, we are always willing to send your records elsewhere. Be safe. Be kind. Love, The B Street Vet team #bstreetveterinaryhospital #bstreetvet #bstvet #covid19 #inthistogether #bekind
