Letโs reintroduce our technician Lizzie! She is our newest technician! She studied Digital Media at NCCC in 2011 but knew her true passion was helping animals! So off to Medaille College she went, she graduated in 2013 with her degree in Veterinary Technology, and has been practicing as a technician ever since. She is a WNY native and enjoys all the wonderful food Buffalo has to offer. She also enjoys spending her time with her children, friends, family, dog and 2 cats. At work her interests include client education, preventative care and patient care. She also dabbles in baking! Did you see her Heartworm cake? It was delicious! ๐พ
Here you can see her preparing an ear cytology to read. Did you know our technicians perform all of the lab work in our clinic? They draw the blood, rub it, prepare blood films and cytologies and look at them under the microscope. They also run in house urinalysis! We also use an outside lab, which they prepare the samples to go out to!
