Callout for 2012s! Buford Elite 8U Maldonado/Hernandez is seeking players for the 2021 Spring season. We are a new team with an experienced coaching staff and with the amazing Buford Elite Sports Training Facility to call home. Coach Tony Maldonado has coached several seasons at Mill Creek and Coach Missy Hernandez is a three-time DII All-American and former semi-professional player who currently coaches in the Georgia Impact organization and gives pitching and hitting instruction out of BE. Our pipe dream is to build a solid core of girls to coach for the next 10 years. Our philosophy revolves around not only developing softball players, but inspiring and developing leaders both on and off the field. My heart breaks for my most favorite place in the world. They are hurting and not able to work due to COVID. Our sweet friends Courtney Riley Nelson and Jay Nelson are not able to be there because of COVID and are doing all they can to help the sweet families in their community of Sabneta, DR. Please if you find it in your heart this Christmas to help I would be forever grateful! These are my people...I would move there tomorrow if God told me to because the love I have for them is huge!!

We have seen what Covid can do to both our own PawPaw Bill and our friend’s family members! We know that if it weren’t for the amazing nurses and Drs working to make sure our PawPaw Bill is ok we would be lost! We can’t do much from the outside but pray but we can show nurses and Drs how thankful we are for their hardwork and love!
We are doing another snack and drink drive for our frontline workers! We will start collecting at Buford Elite Sunday Jan 10. Please let us know if you want to donate! Let’s fill up the break room and give a small token to show we love and are praying for them as they act as healthcare workers and our families on the inside!

We will go first...
As you know kids don’t listen to their parents when it comes to teaching them the game they love... so even our personal kids are trained by our amazing staff!
Christian has been working with Caden for a year on his swing and improving his infield skill set. The progress he has made is amazing! Christian really takes to time to explain the the reason behind the drill and the process of what the skill needs to look like so that Caden understands what he needs to do and why he needs to do it! The relationship he has built with Caden is super special! He even let him pick his flavor or protein so that Caden could try it to see if he liked it! We are so blessed with Christian as a role model for our boys!!
Matt Tuiasosopo works with Kyiler in hitting and pitching! He gets on Kyiler’s level and holds him accountable in a way that Kyiler responds. Matt also works with Caden on pitching and fielding. He challenges Caden to work his hardest and be his very best without saying much at all. His patience and love for our is unmatched as he also takes the time to check in with them personally. His family has become a part of our family and we are so grateful he is at BE!
Paris Head and Zack Waters are pushing our boys to get faster and stronger! They don’t accept anything less than hard work from them in Speed and it shows on the the playing field! Caden has been working with Zack and Paris all winter in 1-1 speed session focusing on technique and speed times! He is ready and in shape for baseball and we couldn’t be more excited to see his progress! We are so thankful for these guys and their hard work for our BE kids!!

What a great weekend of swimming !!! Nathan was able to swim at Georgia tech. He improved all his times and ended first at Georgia tech in 3 events.
He also had the chance to see Shaquille O’Neill at the pool.
This kid is a ROCKSTAR and we will be contacting him to help!! BE kids and families let’s get behind his causes and make a difference!!!!!

I took Drake to swing it with “Coach BE” Brian Elinburg at Buford Elite Sports Training in the fall and he helped him so much.
He’s only been to BE once since the fall ended due to schedules, but has voluntarily worked really hard at home...remembering everything Coach BE taught him.
It’s fun starting to see the smallest guy on the field put it together in games!
And shameless plug for a friend...Coach BE is the kid whisperer. Drake would much rather hit with him than with me! Erin Drake Fountain
