Common concerns:
Electric Heat
Burning Smell: Often the heating elements will have dust on them that has to be burned off. If this persists for more than 5 Minutes or gets worse, please shut it off and call us.
Gas Heat
• Doesn’t come on: This could simply be a switch or valve not turned on or a bigger problem that requires us to look at it.
• Burning oil smell or smoke: The burners have a protective oil on them and will have to burn this off. This is only found on new units and is usually completely burned off upon installation. This smell might last 10 minutes and just needs some fresh air to completely remove from home.
Heat Pump
• Your unit should be ready to heat your home. Just simply switch the thermostat to heat and set your low point temperature.
Please give us a call if you have any questions or concerns.
