Homeowner TIP of the Day: Any room that has running water needs to be equipped with a GFCI.
GFCI's shut off the electrical current from a circuit whenever it detects the circuit has become a shock hazard. Newer homes are required to have them, however if you live in an older home you'll want to check that your bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room are all equipped with GFCI's. If not, get them installed. ⚡️🚫 💦
COVID-19 Update from Bunnell Electric Inc.
Over the past several weeks we have found ourselves in increasingly unfamiliar territory, in both our professional and personal lives. With COVID-19 officially reaching pandemic status; local, State, and Federal governments are implementing policies to “flatten the curve” in order to lessen the overall impact of this virus. Our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the virus.
As our communities continue to cope with this rapidly evolving situation, it’s important for us to convey to you that Bunnell Electric Inc. is committed to serving the needs of our customers. During these very uncertain times, there are many things outside our control. However, we are working diligently throughout our organization to ensure that we have effectively implemented policies that help protect the health and safety of our customers and employees, and also ensure a continuity of service, bringing what normalcy we can to this rapidly evolving situation.
During the prevailing COVID-19 health challenge, Bunnell Electric has advised all employees to make appropriate changes to their operating policies that reflect the current situation. Some of these policy changes include the following:
1. Initial Phone Call - We are screening our appointments for our Estimator’s and/or Installation Technician’s and rescheduling appointments in households where a member of the family or household is, or has been ill with flu or flu-like illness.
2. Social Distancing - Believe us when we tell you that our Estimators and Installation Technicians want to shake your hand! However, during this current situation, our staff has been instructed to refrain from handshakes, fist bumps, etc… Instead, Bunnell Electric employees will employ “social distancing” techniques when interacting with you, your family, or any member of the household, maintaining at least 6’ of distance between themselves and all other parties, whenever possible.
3. Hand Sanitation - Hand sanitation is at the forefront of our health and safety policies. Employees are asked to employ consistent and pragmatic hand sanitation techniques, as recommended by the CDC, before and after each and every in-home appointment, at a minimum!
4. Minimized Time Inside the Home - We will minimize interactions inside the home. Whenever possible, our estimators will measure, and provide estimates using information gathered outside the home. When this is impossible, our Estimators and Technicians will be in and out as quickly as possible.
5. Employee Illness - We’ve instructed employees to stay home if they are sick or have had close contact with someone who has shown symptoms of COVID-19.
6. Safety Equipment - All our estimators and technicians will wear booties before entering a customer’s home. Most locations have a limited quantity of n95 rated masks in inventory. Upon request, estimators and technicians will be happy to wear a mask while in your home, if available.
7. Facility Hours and/or Closures - Open by-appointment-only. Please contact us at 513-779-8778 to inquire how we can assist you.
We have always appreciated the opportunity to earn your business, and today is no different. Bunnell Electric is committed to meeting your electric service and installation needs, and also to keeping you informed as the situation progresses.
Thanks for listening, and be safe out there.
