Burd Home Health is looking for 2 in-home caregivers to serve the greater Grand Rapids area. Starting pay is $11.25. We are also offering a $100 bonus for completing our enrollment forms and background check. Once approved, Burd Home Health will work to find open cases in your area.
Typical tasks required are help with eating, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming and light house work.
In-Home caregivers are required to complete a background check, have a valid photo ID and must be at least 18 years old.

We were checking on our garden and I said to Justin that I wished he would cut the lawn for me. He said โI Canโt!โ Oh yes you can ! Towards the end he was even controlling the turns. When Julie Czarniak Presciutti saw the video she was mad because he didnโt have shoes on and the foot plates were not on his wheelchair! It was an instant reaction for me when he said he couldnโt do it. Thank God there were no mishaps or I would be dead right now!

Since its inception, BURD Home Health has been predicated on empowering families' ability to care for their loved ones. A huge part of successfully accomplishing that focus is our relationship managers.
Relationship managers at BURD Home Health are there to assist consumers and caregivers with just about anything they need. From fixing time punches, explaining proper caregiver protocol, to initiating a video call to answer more direct questions- our relationship managers are ready and available to help.
We focus on having one direct relationship manager for each consumer as well so that consumers don't get shuffled around between employees. This helps to build ongoing relationships between consumers and ensures that the employee a consumer speaks to immediately knows their account history and any special needs they may have.
We believe that through this model at-home care can be accomplished easier, more effectively, and with less miscommunication. It all goes back to our conviction that the best care will come from someone you know and trust!
State-funded caregiving programs allow families who have traditionally struggled financially, mostly due to caring for a disabled loved one, access to quality in-home care from someone they know and trust.

Who can qualify as a caregiver for self-directed care?
We service both Missouri and New York which vary slightly between each other, however from a broad perspective, caregivers can qualify in three ways!
1) You're a son or daughter of the consumer (person who needs care)
2) You're a relative of the consumer
3) You're a friend or acquaintance of the consumer
*In some circumstances, BURD Home Health can find a qualified caregiver if the consumer has none of the above available.
Those who will not qualify:
-Legal Spouses
-Parents caring for children under 21
-The same person deemed as the account manager for self-directed care

Qualifying as a consumer for self-directed care through BURD Home Health starts with three main categories:
