Setting a pre-fab factory fabricated house on a small lot in the middle of Santa Barbara takes a lot of crew and heavy equipment to accomplish the task. A 350 ton rated crane was needed to reach across the site to set the farthest unit weighing in at 40,000 lbs. Once the first unit was rigged and set into place on the foundation the other three units followed very quickly. Each modular section of the house was on its own trailer and were delivered one-by-one as the crane set them in place. At the end of the day …. Voila…. There’s a house where none stood before.
