In other words, people who have financial difficulties are charged higher for car insurance, that they are required to purchase in order to put a car on the road, and the wealthy, with their great credit score get huge discounts. This is wrong! Those with poor financial circumstances are forced to pay more so that the wealthy with their great financial circumstances can pay less. Let that sink in. I think age and driving record should be the only criteria to cause a difference in the cost of basic auto insurance in South Carolina, not one’s financial status.
