📰 Payroll Tax Deferment Action 📰
Extra…extra…read all about it! I’m digging into what the latest payroll tax deferment action may mean for you and your coins!
Here’s what we know:
✔ The Payroll Tax Deferral went into effect for employees making less than $4K bi-weekly (or $104K annually)
✔ Companies in the private sector must opt-in, which means this doesn’t affect everyone. (The deferral option is at the discretion of the company and not the employee.)
✔ Those included will see a 6.2% decrease of your Social Security tax until Dec 31, 2020.
✔ Conversely, this means people will see an increase in their paychecks until deferment ends.
✔ Remember taxes are deferred not cut. Be prepared to pay the money back. You may face double withholding in the first quarter of 2021.
So what?!
Checks may start to look a little heavier for some right now. The gov’t is deferring taxes until the end of the year to assist eligible folks during the pandemic. But remember, those extra coins in your paycheck aren't a gift. In fact, it is expected to be repaid through the first quarter of 2021.
Hopefully this breakdown helps get to the nitty gritty of the payroll tax deferment action and help inform you before making any big decisions.

2. Develop a budget
3. Understand the distinction between needs and wants, income and wealth
4. Buy a meager priced car, drive it for a long time, and save thousands
5. Brown bag a lunch at least once a week and save thousands
6. Use $5.00 worth of grocery coupons a week and save thousands
7. Eat at home frequently and save thousands
8. Skip daily junk food and expensive coffee at work and save thousands
9. Smoking is hazardous to your health. Quit and save thousands
10. Pay cash for everything, don't use credit cards, monitor your credit report, your credit worthiness is your key to success
11. By assets that appreciate, such as stocks, bonds, and real estate. Avoid assets that depreciate such as cars, clothes, jewelry. The car note does not need exceed the rent payment. Houses should be bought before cars.
