It has been one year since this incident occurred at my office. As intense as that day was, and the months that followed, so much good and positivity has come from it. From witnessing your place of business get destroyed, your employees and customer get rushed to the emergency room, and being forced to close for a month and a half; then dealing with the aftermath of physical injuries, mental anguish, and the rebuilding of the office; to eventually getting everyone back (except one ☹) and reopening. During that time many people reached out to show their love and support. So, I want to say Thank you to all my family, friends, and customers (especially my wife and son)! We are in the business of protection and are always there for people when something bad happens, and it was an incredible feeling to be on the other side of this situation and receive so much outreach. I always say that if there was a best-case scenario for what happened ... we got it! A very special shout out to my staff for their strength and resiliency! I know we all had a rough few months after this happened, but I am so proud of each of them. I know our little work family has gotten closer because of it, and I am thankful for that. Now we’re dealing with the Covid-19 challenges, but after this experience we know that as long as we have our health, love in our heart, and are guided by faith you can get through whatever chaos life throws at you.
